Bushboard have relaunched its premium Omega 40mm laminate worksurface range.

The range upgrade is, says Bushboard, a fashion-forward mix of popular stones, trendy woodgrains and practical splashbacks in modish colours and a linear texture that will keep laminate on the button for today’s kitchens.

There are 16 new designs available for worksurfaces and upstands, plus a further 8 new designs for splashbacks only. All Omega products incorporate the world-class Sanitized Actifresh anti-bacterial protection - the first UK worksurface range to offer this benefit says Bushboard - and use environmentally certified chipboard.

The new range will benefit from six new Pebblestone colours in Black, Bronze, Burnt, Sand, Silver and Pewter. Sandstone Quartz extends the best-selling Quartz palette, while Natural Grey Stone in Roche texture and Forged Black and Andorra Brown (seen here) in a new Granite surface texture offer a new take on a popular design story. New woodgrains include Tobacco Oak, Natural Blocked Oak, Provence Beech and Nordic Beech.

The refreshed splashback palette reflects what Bushboard has identified as the growing importance of this product as an alternative to tiling in the kitchen. There are four colours; Neon, Paprika, Mulberry and Bluestone, which Bushboard says, have been recognised as international colour trend favourites. It hopes the new Linear texture will bring a new level of fashionable design interest to splashbacks with Blanc Megeve White and Steel Grey offering a tactile, low reflective surface that’s also easy to clean.

The upgraded Omega range offers 51 worktop designs with 39 matching, and 14 complementary splashback colours. It includes shaped components and the innovative Q3 edge profile for all worksurfaces and upstands, delivering greater realism and design flexibility.

“We recognise the current trend in the kitchen to blend colours and textures to create easy living spaces,??? said Stuart White, managing director at Bushboard. “Laminate is noted for being a highly practical material and with the latest design innovations, is an ideal material for achieving very on-trend looks very affordably.
