From Virtual to Reality with Bushboard Options Turin Marble

When Amber and Gavin bought their home, their priority was turning the dull brown kitchen into an open, bright area with white cabinetry and marble effect worktops. They wanted to create an inviting space, but also stick closely to their budget. They were recommended Bushboard by their kitchen supplier, Grampian Kitchens in Banff, Scotland.

“The kitchen is the centre point of our home so it was really important to us that it became a sociable location, where can enjoy entertaining family and friends,” says Amber.

“We used the Bushboard visualiser to see which kind of marble we wanted to use, and made the final decision to use Turin Marble based on that. It’s a great tool for redesigning a kitchen as you get to see more than a little square of worktop to visualise the final look.”

Bushboard Options is a versatile worksurface choice, available with straight edges, with radius curves, and as a breakfast bar with radius curves. Matching upstands and splashbacks are available to finish the look, and matched edging is available to create a sleek finish when installation requires the worktop to be cut or shaped.

Amber and Gavin chose a Bushboard Options worktop in Turin Marble, with ultra matt finish and 38mm Q3 profile for soft lines. They used it to create a long section of worktop with matching upstand, and included a breakfast bar section that they finished with a rounded edge. The worktop was installed by Grampian Kitchens, and Amber comments that it was an extremely smooth process, including shaping the curved breakfast bar, then adding the edging.

She says, “We think it looks great and the edging to cover the cut section looks seamless in its installation, completing the look perfectly. It looks even better than we had imagined and our Bushboard worktop is definitely one of my favourite kitchen elements. We always receive compliments from visitors.”
