Jo Wills, Sales Office Manager at worktop manufacturer Bushboard, recently completed a gruelling trek along the Great Wall of China to raise funds for Marie Curie. Starting out on the 9th October, the trek covered 80 miles and took eight days.

Jo raised a total of £3575 through sponsorship from friends and work colleagues, as well as loyal Bushboard customers and suppliers who all donated to the worthy cause. Jo is pictured below holding her banner thanking all her sponsors.

Says Jo: “It’s hard to find the words to describe such an amazing trip. The scenery was beautiful but the challenge itself was very physical, emotional and exhilarating - the list could go on. There were 51 people in the group that met at Heathrow as strangers but left China at the end of the trek as friends. The support and encouragement the group gave each other was immense, with the youngest group member being 23 and the oldest 69, so with a wide range of personalities and abilities it made it all the more interesting and enjoyable. It’s probably one of the best things I have ever done and it was even more rewarding because I was raising funds for such a deserving charity that gives so much to others.???
