UK Communications Manager Worktops (WT CM)  

Department:      Marketing

Principal Purpose

The role is intended to optimize, innovate and synergize the communication area within the United Kingdom for the Worktop category and its adjacent spaces for the brands Wilsonart and Bushboard.

Principal Elements

  • The main interface of the CM WT towards the market is the Sales Leader and his team, who define the commercial strategy for their geography and channels.

  • For the brand strategy the main interface are the WT Sales Leader and the EMEA Marketing Director.

  • The CM WT will strongly cooperate with CRM leader and team to assure consistency of the activities and adequate follow up of the agreed actions.

  •  A strong relation with Finance is required to constantly manage the budgets for which the CM WT is responsible.

  • Another major link is into the PM structure for the Worktop category, who owns the product and launch plan for the year and is responsible for the timely and complete briefing of the communication team.

  •  The CM WT will drive the execution of projects and manage a Digital Manager, who will be predominantly focused on digital execution but who will also provide support on other areas if required.

  • The CM WT will - if required - select and work with external agencies.

  • The CM WT will pro-actively address any other function required to the execution of his/her task.

The area of responsibility of the CM WT lies with the brands Wilsonart and Bushboard for the domestic residential market and consists in the delivery of innovative  marketing tools for the full value chain target audience and for the public. The responsibilities also include internal marketing activities and PR.

 

Main Activities

  • Develop based on the market requirements formulated by Sales and Product Management  a 360 degree (all media-all targets) communication strategy and the related implementation plan for the year.
  • Monitor and structure information on competitor activities.
  • Monitor and structure information on customer activities and develop knowledge on customers specific needs based on segment and type.
  • Develop specific knowledge on the customer journey on different media and apply this to digital and non-digital tools to be made available to our customer as a primary way to  influence their preference.
  • Coordinate the marketing mix and propose innovative marketing tools to outpace competition.
  • Constantly works on efficiency to optimize the spent and the usage of the budgets
  • Develop on cost, on time on spec the required marketing tools (including sell-in/out actions) internally or by using external agencies.
  • Supervise and structure constant monitoring of the communication budget as well as allocation to the different sales entities.
  • Monitor and replenish marketing tools based on consumption historical data and sales forecasts.
  • Selects in cooperation with purchasing department suppliers and manages the relation on the operative level.
  • Clearly articulate the communication strategy and its implementation with internal and external audiences.
  • Leads the UK Worktop Communication Department

Job qualifications and requirements

Adequate university degree or equivalent, 5/10 years working experience in communication preferably of consumer products.

Highly developed business acumen and social competencies to lead execution across different teams in non hierarchical environments. Structured and data based approach but at ease with not fully settled scenarios. Winning spirit and thought leadership.

  • Editing, writing, and proof-reading experience

UK Digital Communication Specialist WT (DS EP)                

Department:     Marketing              

Reports to:        The DCS WT reports to the CM WT

Principal Purpose

The role is intended to accelerate, energize optimize, innovate and synergize the digital area within the United Kingdom for the WT category and its adjacent spaces for the brands Bushboard Nuance, Shore and Mermaid and eventual others developed with our customers.

Principal Elements

  • The DCS WT main interface is the Communication Manager, who coordinates the priorities and validates them.
  • The DCS WT will also link into sales and product management for collecting needs and for providing information on the activities planned.
  • The DCS WT will interface with external parties (e.g. distributors, merchants, chains, etc.) to align activities and/or to develop cooperations.
  • The DCS WT will link into the US global team for the development of the website and the development of residential specific needs.
  • The CM WT will pro-actively address any other function required to the execution of his/her task.

Area of Responsibilities

  • The area of responsibility of the DCS WT lies with the Wilsonart and Bushboard brands for the domestic residential market and consists in  the delivery of internet sites, social media, apps, digital assets and any further digital tool for the full value chain target audience and for the public.
  • The responsibilities also include internal marketing activities (e.g. digital wallboard, Wilsonart and Bushboard Blog, etc.).

Main Activities

  • Contributes to the creation of a digital communication strategy based on the market requirements formulated by Sales and Product Management and is responsible for its deployment.
  • Monitor and structure information on competitor activities.
  • Monitor and structure information on customer activities and develop integrated activities for specific target audience.
  • Animate social media by creating an editorial plan, content and other required assets.
  • Propose innovative digital solutions to enhance convenience for both customers and users.
  • Constantly works on efficiency to optimize the spent and the usage of the budgets
  • Develop on cost, on time on spec the required tools internally or by using external agencies.
  • Selects in cooperation with purchasing department suppliers and manages the relation on the operative level.
  • Clearly articulate the communication strategy and its implementation with internal and external audiences.
  • Support the CM WT on other media if required.

Evaluation Metrics

Main evaluation metrics are linked to realization of agreed activities, pace of execution, budget optimization, ROMI and delivery on time, on cost and on spec of projects/activities.

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Department: Maintenance

Location: Wellingborough

Principal Purpose

To ensure that all aspects of building/ plant maintenance within Bushboard Ltd.'s premises and any other duties as requested by your Manager are undertaken in a safe and timely manner.

Principal Elements

  • You will be required to liaise with sub-contractors I machinery manufacturers for upkeep/ installation relating to any works required

  • To work as part of the maintenance team to fulfil the maintenance requirements of the Company

  • To prioritise and ensure Health & Safety works for ongoing compliance of the Company's Health & Safety Policy is maintained

  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team

  • Maintain a safe and productive working

  • Other duties as role develops

  • Candidates should be time served apprentices and have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent

  • Proven experience in a similar role.

  • Multi-skilled engineering experience (mechanical, electrical and software)

Multi-skilled Machine Operator

Department: Manufacturing

Principal Purpose

To operate Homag, Wemhoner, Buerkle, Holzma and Biele wood working machinery within Bushboard Ltd.’s manufacturing facility and any other duties as requested by your Manager in a safe and timely manner.

Principal Elements

  • Experience operating fast paced modern wood working, laminating or postforming machinery

  • Team ethics

  • Must work well under pressure with tight deadlines

  • Experience working with KPIs an advantage

  • Quality awareness and attention to detail essential

  • Must be available for occasional weekends when required

  • Good housekeeping / cleanliness essential

  • Health & Safety compliant at all times

  • Experience of Homag, Holzma, Wemhoner, Buerkle or Biele equipment an advantage

  • Demonstrate a "can do" attitude with an ability to problem solve and innovate using tools and equipment available at Bushboard

  • Attention to detail and working in a methodical manner

  • Experience working with hot melt adhesive coater's an advantage

  • Experience of setting precision mechanical and CNC equipment
