Quality Engneer

Department: Quality

Principal Purpose

To further develop, implement and co-ordinate our (BMS) Business Management Systems and procedures. You will be ‘responsible for’ and ‘play an integral role’ in driving business improvements (culturally) across all functions of the site (including: continuous improvement, workplace management, etc.).

Principal Elements

  • Complaints management and fault resolution to a successful conclusion

  • Lead and Co-ordination of Product and Raw Material Non-conformance system

  • Support and be proactive in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Attend customer and site visits when required

  • Reporting to management on internal & external quality performance

  • Supporting on internal and external inspections and testing (as needed)

  • Lead problem solving activities utilising industry standard methodologies: 8D’s, 5 why’s, 3C, DMAIC, Ishikawa fish bone diagrams, FMEA’s

  • Conduct internal audits and support with customer, ISO audits

  • Develop procedures in line with customer, ISO and local needs and expectations

  • Pinpointing relevant quality and business related training needs

  • Driving cultural change through the business

  • Co-ordination of different processes into one integrated management system (i.e., Health & Safety, Environment and Energy)

Required Attributes

  • Minimum (or equivalent) HNC/HND in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or other related field

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an Engineering or Quality Engineering role

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally at all levels within the organization

  • Organised, practical, logical in work approach

  • Positive can-do attitude

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Excellent drawing interpretation skills

  • Ability to utilise a wide range of analytical, statistical and reliability tools

Desired Attributes

  • Working knowledge of lean principles

  • In depth knowledge of regulated industry standards, such as ISO 9001

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Department: Maintenance

Location: Wellingborough

Principal Purpose

To ensure that all aspects of building/ plant maintenance within Bushboard Ltd.'s premises and any other duties as requested by your Manager are undertaken in a safe and timely manner.

Principal Elements

  • You will be required to liaise with sub-contractors I machinery manufacturers for upkeep/ installation relating to any works required

  • To work as part of the maintenance team to fulfil the maintenance requirements of the Company

  • To prioritise and ensure Health & Safety works for ongoing compliance of the Company's Health & Safety Policy is maintained

  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of team

  • Maintain a safe and productive working

  • Other duties as role

  • Candidates should be time served apprentices and have a minimum NVQ level 3 in engineering or equivalent

  • Proven experience in a similar role.

  • Multi-skilled engineering experience (mechanical, electrical and software)

Requirements

  • Mechanical bias with an understanding of electrical OR

  • Electrical bias with an understanding of mechanical

  • Mechanical experience on hydraulics and pneumatics

  • PLC knowledge

  • Inverter Drive knowledge

  • 60% of the job will be mechanical so a knowledge of this is essential

Hours of work will be 8am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday with 1 Saturday in 4.

Once fully trained, the candidate will work on shifts: 6- 2.30pm OR 2-10pm. There will be a shift allowance available.

 

 

Sales Development Co-ordinator

Principal Purpose

To ensure that a relationship is maintained with our retailers by establishing their needs in replenishing their point of sale in order for sales to grow across all ranges within the Wilsonart UK Portfolio. Whilst doing this it is also vital to be looking for upsell opportunities by pushing displays, new point of sale stands, samples and brochures to enable retailers and end users to see the full range of products available in the Wilsonart range.

The role is predominantly outbound focused.

Principal Elements

  • Making outbound calls to retailers to discuss core products in Wilsonart UK ranges, converting retailers over to Wilsonart UK products, ensuring that samples, stands and brochures are up to date and arrange for new stands and replacements when required

  • Upselling showroom displays

  • Supporting new product launches by pushing out stands, brochures and displays

  • Gain Market and competitor information during outbound calls

  • Receiving the overflow inbound calls from end users looking for product advice, display information and reseller information and advising accordingly

  • Receiving the overflow inbound calls from installers requesting technical advice and providing basic installer information

  • Collate information to complete admin tasks following calls with retailers
