Bushboard has stepped smartly onto the emerging trend for curves in the kitchen with its range of brand new shaped worksurfaces and breakfast bars on its premium Omega laminate range.
Newly launched as part of the range re-vamps in September, there is a choice of two readymade and pre-finished components that offers increased design flexibility for casual dining and feature furniture. There is a breakfast bar measuring 3000 x 955 x 38mm with a radiused curve at one end and a square end at the other. This can be used on a freestanding island unit, a traditional breakfast bar run or, cleverly, can be cut down and planted on the end of a furniture run and set on legs for some casual low level dining.
The second component is a worksurface that measures 4100 x 650 x 38mm and features a curve at each end, ideal for use with curved doors at the end of a run of cabinets. The fuller depth of 650mm accommodates curves from around 230mm up to 300mm.
“Traditionally curved furniture requires solid worktops such as our encore collection, granite or quartz to follow the line, and this additional cost can push the budget out of reach for many .These laminate components enable designers to offer practical and stylish solutions that reflect the way consumers use their kitchen space, while at the same time being very accessible on price.”
